About me

Hello! My name is Bára, I am 26 years old and I come from Teplice. At university, I studied developmental psychology and the psychology of lifelong development, so I can work with children depending on their physical and mental age. I understand what a child should be able to do at a certain age and life situation, what I can teach them and what they still have time for. I went to apply my knowledge to a private kindergarten in Prague, where I worked from April to December. At work, I had the opportunity to complete my education as part of the course “Chůva v dětské skupině 69-073-M”. Since our kindergarten is private, children with special needs (ADHD, developmental dysphasia, delayed development, autism) also attended it, so I supplemented my education in this area as well (accredited courses from MPSV). With younger children, we like to play with games and toys that develop their sensory-motor skills, or we visit the playground, park or zoo. With older children, I like to go for walks around the neighborhood to expand our awareness of how the world around us works, or we play board games. With all children, I like to develop their fine motor skills through crafts, puzzles and other activities. We also often do speech therapy and graphomotor exercises.
I am a supporter of the so-called "gentle parenting", so I consider the child as an individual person with his own feelings and desires. I try to show him how to deal with his emotions while also thinking about the feelings of others.
