Children need our presence, not our perfection." At the same time, they remind us to live in the moment. That’s why I’ve chosen to set my career aside for now and once again dedicate my time to babysitting. I can also drive your children to practice or pick them up from school. My name is Karolína, I'm 30 years old, and I studied management and economics at the Czech Technical University. Life has taken me more into the business world than into the magical world of children. Still, I can say that since I was 16, I’ve been a camp leader, guiding groups from first graders to teenagers. During my studies, I babysat kids in the area thanks to my contacts. Babysitting occasionally overlapped with my work, as parents would reach out to me for help.

Currently, I run a small business that doesn’t take up much of my time, but it keeps me mentally engaged (I’d be happy to share more in person). This led me to seek out activities that bring me joy and to partially return to babysitting. I recognize my strong gift in understanding how children think, allowing me to adapt to their needs and explain things to them, especially when they are eager to learn, like during tutoring sessions. I now see my dyslexia, which I mainly experienced in elementary school, as a big advantage, as it helps me see things from different angles, which is useful for tutoring and resolving disputes between siblings.

Thanks to my experience working with groups of children at camps, I know that some situations can require more effort than they might seem at first. It takes cooperation from everyone—children, parents, and caregivers alike. So, I don’t promise miracles, but I do offer my full attention to the children and their needs.

P.S. I have my own car, which is registered for transporting passengers. Therefore, we can arrange for regular transportation for the children, potentially combined with babysitting. The price is individualized, depending on distance, availability, and the total time spent babysitting.

Angličtinu mám na plynulé komunikativní úrovni. Pracovala jsem pro zahraniční firmy, kde jsem denně vedla meetingy v angličtině a komunikovala s kolegy. Díky vlastní zkušenosti s dyslexií a problémům s cizími jazyky v dětství dnes přesně vnímám, co je potřeba dětem dovysvětlit. Pomáhám jim chápat souvislosti, aby jen bezmyšlenkovitě neopakovaly naučené věci. Vím, že to, co jim nedává smysl, jejich podvědomí odsouvá stranou.
