About me
I was born in Ukraine. I have always been active and determined. I professionally practiced arm wrestling for 6–7 years, and I also love playing tennis and volleyball. I finished high school with very good results and was accepted for a free spot at a university in a field that interested me.
I earned a bachelor’s degree at Kyiv University in Food Technologies in the Hospitality and Restaurant Business. I worked in this field for several years. Due to life circumstances, I moved to London, where I attended language courses at a state university to improve my English. I worked as a waitress in a café and simultaneously decided to study 3D design. This decision was driven by my desire to become independent of my location and my long-standing interest in and love for this field.
At the same time, I worked as a babysitter for a family with a 4-year-old boy. I moved to the Czech Republic to be closer to my family—my mother and 11-year-old brother, who relocated to the Czech Republic two years ago.
I was 14 years old when my brother was born. Since then, I have spent a lot of time with him to help my mom—first when he was a baby, then when he attended kindergarten, and later when he went to school. I enjoyed spending time with him. We often created crafts, drew pictures, learned to write and count, practiced riding a bike, and tried various sports together.
I also gained babysitting experience in London. I worked for a family with a 4-year-old boy. Initially, I was a bit nervous about understanding a child’s English accent since English is not my native language. However, after a few meetings, we connected well, and I managed my responsibilities perfectly. I quickly adapted to his way of speaking, and our communication went smoothly.
I have a great rapport with children; I know what they need at any given moment and how to engage them with fun and interesting activities.
My responsibilities included:
1. Picking him up from kindergarten and playing with him at home until his parents finished work.
• One parent sometimes worked from a home office, but there were occasions when both parents were at their offices.
2. Ensuring healthy snacks: I made sure he had healthy snacks after school instead of sweets.
3. Organizing activities: I took him for haircuts, to the playground, to the park to feed ducks at the lake, and to his tennis practice, where I supported him and brought him back home. Occasionally, we also walked the family dog.
4. Arranging playdates: I coordinated playdates with his friends from kindergarten, working with their nannies or his parents. When friends visited him at home, I supervised all the children.
5. Full-day care during school holidays: I worked full days from morning until the parents finished work. We visited the zoo, went to cafés for ice cream, and found other fun activities to enjoy together.
6. Evening babysitting: When the parents had meetings or date nights, I came after dinner, ensured he went to bed on time, and stayed until they returned.
The boy was very active, so I always came up with exciting games and stories for him. I also created logic and math puzzles, which he particularly enjoyed, and we made various crafts together.
I worked with this family for one year and three months before moving to Prague.
