About me

I spent four years at a bilingual Montessori elementary school, where I worked as a teacher's assistant. For two years, I worked with students from grades 1.- 3. and the other two I was with the 4th-5th graders. The environment was Czech-English, and although English was taught by a native speaker, I often helped with explaining the lessons, checking their work, preparing materials, etc. Before this job, I was employed in a language school for a year, where I tutored children during individual lessons.
I prefer to consult the content of the lesson with each student individually according to their current needs. I will prioritize topics that they are currently discussing at school or we focus on a subject area that they don't feel confident in and I will prepare the lesson accordingly. So during such lessons we can, for example, focus mainly on grammar exercises in the workbook or we can just converse, play games or watch videos that we will talk about afterwards.
